Thankfulness

“Thankfulness creates gratitude which generates contentment that causes peace.” -Todd Stocker

T is for Thankfulness

Did you know that counting your blessing can lead to a happier and healthier life? Expressing how thankful we are for all the benefits we have received radiates a positive outlook of our lives. When we acknowledge and spread positive vibrations of gratitude we are practicing an attitude of thankfulness. There is so much that we should be thankful for yet some people take little things for granted, eyesight for example. I chose the example of being able to see because I am a corneal transplant recipient and will forever be thankful to my corneal donor. So remember when you are counting your blessing don’t forget to include the ones we often overlook that give us an abundance of pleasure in life which are sight, smell, sound, taste, and touch.

Synonym of thankfulness – gratitude
Antonym of thankfulness – disregard

  1. You’re so right, there’s always something to be thankful for, always someone to be thankful to. It’s our choice what we focus on. Thanks for this lovely post.

  2. count your blessings – favourite saying of my Mum . this a to z challenge has been a huge blessing to me connecting to others – opening my world
    thanks cheryl

    • You are absolutely right about this challenge being a blessing. I just randomly came across the site and never even knew things such as blog hops and challenges even exited! I’m glad that I decided to join.

  3. Thankfulness is one of the best and most amazing virtue one can (and should) possess. As you said there are so many things around us, that we take for granted.

  4. Such a lovely post. Thank you for the gentle reminder to stop looking at all the things that are “wrong” and start being thankful for all the things that are “right.” I think we’ll find that there is far more “right” than “wrong.” 🙂

    • So you’re an optimist. I can tell because you wrote “I think we’ll find that there is far more “right” than “wrong.” I am thankful that you decided to read and comment on my blog : )

    • Sometimes we don’t realize the good things until something bad happens. I never realize how fortunate I was to be able to see and not be in pain. Then my eye disease happened and now I know just how lucky I am to be able to see the beautiful faces of my grandchildren.
