Having a Shetland Sheepdog (aka the Sheltie) or other furry companion can bring much comfort in these trying times. With the arrival of COVID 19 many people have had to be placed in quarantine or told to self quarantine, if they have been exposed to this virus. People have been told to stay at home, unless they are essential. Dogs can definitely relieve some of the stress we are feeling during this pandemic and make us feel less lonely. Plus you know they love having us home!
When you prepare for a possible quarantine or stay at home order, don’t forget those extra pet supplies. Additional food, medication, and maybe some challenging puzzle toys should be added to your list of supplies to pick up.
Message from a Sheltie mom – Nothing much has changed for Misty Blue. I don’t work and my son is still working. Her daycare closed down for a while, but opened this past Tuesday, so she only missed out on a couple of weeks.
I wish I had bought more of the food that Misty Blue eats when I had the chance. I’ve been having a problem finding it on the store shelves, just like toilet paper.
Has having a dog helped you emotionally during this trying time?
