Dads Make A Difference
http://www.dadsmakeadifference.org/
This non-profit organization, Dads Make A Difference, was started in 1993.
This program promotes awareness of the important role a father makes in the life of a child. It targets mostly middle school and high school students, both male and female.
Dads Make A Difference offers training programs for students in middle or high school. The curriculum is taught by high school trained peer educators.
Some of the subjects that the middle school curriculum covers are the importance of a father, pregnancy prevention, responsibility of being a parent, and legal responsibilities. The high school curriculum includes discussion of complex social issues, case studies, challenging the student to plan for self improvement and a healthy future.

I knew when I came across this website that it would definitely be my D post. It hits close to home!
A great organization. And so much truth in the name, Dads make a huge difference.
They sure do! I’m so glad I was able to share this organization. I don’t think many people know about it.
What a great way to use your “D” for a post.
When I came across this organization I knew it had to be part of my challenge blogs. Thanks for stopping by!
Those of us who were blessed with fathers ‘in our lives’ can’t imagine one without them. Kudos to this organization!
There are far too many children without fathers in their life! I was glad to find an organization like this existed.
This sounds like a wonderful project. Very worthwhile.
I think so. I raised my children alone. Women can do it alone if they have to, but I know it hurt my children.
Such a great non-profit to start! Dads do make a huge difference in a child’s life. Thanks for sharing such a great cause! Cassie from Mommy, RN
I am glad that I came across the website and was able to share it. Thanks for stopping by!
It’s just outrageously sad that the family unit has broken down so much in America that people have to be taught that dads are important!
Revisit the Tender Years with me during the #AtoZChallenge at Life & Faith in Caneyhead!
You are so right Barbara! Thanks for taking the time to stop by!
Sounds like a good program.
It did to me as well, which is why I added it to the challenge.
Fathers are important – although women have managed splendidly throughout the ages to bring children up on their own that difference can add a whole new layer to childhood and exeriences
I raised kids on my own! I did everything I could for them, but I couldn’t take the sadness away that they felt for being abandoned!
A much needed organization. Thanks Cheryl for bringing attention to this group.
It’s sad to think there would have to be an organization for this. The minute I saw it, I knew it had to be shared.
Well, even more impressive that you’ve featured this group after raising your kids on your own. You don’t just say you have an open mind, you show it! Well done.
If you knew what my ex-husband put me through you’d think I was a Saint for choosing this organization…lol
