Founded in 1960, the Volunteer Lawyers Network, is a non-profit organization in Minnesota that offers low-income people civil legal services pro bono by volunteer lawyers.
According to their website, in Minnesota there is one lawyer for every 250 people, however, for those living in poverty, there is one legal aid lawyer for every 3,200 people.
This non-profit organization strives to help as many low-income individuals as they can to obtain Equal Justice under the law.
Volunteer Lawyers Network tackles civil cases such as eviction, preventing illegal garnishment and domestic violence,custody orders and more.

Such a worthy cause! When I practiced law, I worked at Legal Aid for many years, and there is a gap in representation that only volunteers can fill (particularly in the family law area).

It sure is! Sad thing is there still isn’t enough legal services for those who are low income.
There really aren’t. There’s always a shortage. And then there are the people whose income is pretty low, but still too high for services.
