The mission of K9sForWarriors.org is to bring together service dogs with service members suffering from post-traumatic stress/traumatic brain injuries resulting post 9/11.
About The Program
K9s For Warriors is located in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Service members who are eligible participate in a 3 week course where they meet and train with their new dog. This program offers a variety of services, all free of charge, such as housing and meals, canine training, vet care, and more. However, transportation to and from the facility is the responsibility of the service member.
95% of the dogs used in the K9s For Warriors program are rescue or shelter dogs.
Money for this program is raised through contributions, fundraising, and volunteer support. K9s For Warriors receives no government funding.
Ways You Can Help
Make a donation through your companies payroll system.
Create a fundraising page – K9s For Warriors offers an online fundraising page on their website.
Volunteer – K9s For Warriors offers volunteer opportunities from facility and kennel cleaning to attending special events.
