The mission of pajamaprogram.org is to provide children nationwide who are living in group homes, shelters, and temporary housing, with pajamas and books.

The Pajama Program offers to children…

Literacy/Reading Programs

Pre-K -Reading Round-Up – children are read to for a period of 45 minutes. snacks are then served followed by the distribution of new pajamas and a book.

Elementary School Age – Reading Aloud – Books are read aloud to the children.

Books in a Bag Program (Take-home books) – A program for reading comprehension.

Back Pack Program – A program for Pre-K through 1st grade that focuses on book handling, print, punctuation, and letter and word recognition.
