Facts About Me

I don’t know why, but I am very afraid to plug anything in.  I often wonder if I was electrocuted in another life  : )

When I worked in a drugstore many years ago I was robbed at gun point.

Once when I went to get my license renewed, after my picture was taken and my license was given to me, I noticed that the picture was of the man that was in front of me.  The registry had made a mistake and put the pictures on the wrong license….lol

I am dealing with cataracts on top of a corneal transplant.  Eye surgeon won’t do anything right now as to do so very well may ruin the corneal transplant.

To me the glass is always half full.

According to 23andme I have 278 Neanderthal variants.

I have Morton’s toe (my second toe is longer than my first toe).

  1. Hi Cheryl – I had a corneal transplant and had a successful cataract surgery a few years later – they just had to wait until my eye was really healed. It has been 9 years now and all is as good as it can be. I will never see 100% out of the eye, but I can’t complain.

    • I have had two eye specialists tell me they won’t do it. Hopefully down the line they will change their mind. My vision is already being affected and of course my prescription glasses don’t help. Glad to hear all went well for you. I will never been able to see 100% out of one of my eyes but like you I won’t complain.

  2. Congrats on the very well-deserved award – and wow, those are some very interesting random facts! I feel so boring in comparison… I can only imagine how scary a gun point robbery would be though, so I’m grateful I don’t have that on my list, but the photo licence did make me chuckle!
    Caz x

    • I guy in front of me didn’t even look at the license pic, he just put it in his walled and walked away. I chased him into the parking lot and told him. He said good thing he didn’t show his license to anyone or they would have looked at him strange….lol

  3. Oh my, you’ve got quite the stories to tell with the difficult things you’ve endured, particularly the corneal transplant and robbery at gunpoint. But I have to admit I chuckled at the license mixup. Given my past DMV photos, having someone else’s picture on my license could only be a plus. 😄

  4. Gosh, there are some rather significant ‘facts about you’.
My brother had cataracts removed a few years back. He now, in his seventies, has 20/20 vision! Here’s hoping, in time, yours can be removed, too.
    Robbed at gunpoint – yikes!
I love the licence story. Talk about turning red….. 🙂

    • I am just glad I looked at the license and didn’t just put it away like the guy in front of me. It would have been something though to see how people would have reacted to me when I showed them my license (especially a police officer)….LOL
