So here goes….
Q1: What does music mean to you?
Music has always been an important part of my life. Listening to music has brightened my day, helped me to mourn, inspired me to not give up, and increased productivity with house cleaning.
Music is not only emotionally therapeutic, but physically, as well. There is a lot of music out there guaranteed to make you move!
Music stimulates our brain and heals our soul.
So what does music mean to me? It means tranquility, happiness, inspiration, and a multitude of feel good emotions! It also means a way to alleviate feelings of unhappiness.
Q2: What is your first music-related memory?
At the age of 6 I took an instant liking to my grandmother’s old music console and her collection of records, which back then were the long playing 33s. I would spend hours listening and singing along to Mitch Miller.
But my favorite record was based on the motion picture, The King and I. After all these years, I still remember the words to every song that was on this album!
Q3: What was the first album you’ve purchased yourself?
It was a while before I bought my first album. The first 45 record that I bought with money I made babysitting was Sugar, Sugar by the Archies when I was 13. I was finally catching up to my era of music…lol

Q4: What was the latest music you purchased? (No online streaming or free downloads, I’m talking about cash here!)
it’s been a really long time since I have bought any music. But I believe it was a Sounds of the Seventies CD, AM Top 20. Here is one of the songs..
Q5: Which song did you listen to last? (No cheating, come out with the dirty pleasures!)
My favorite rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow. Someone had shared it on Facebook today.

My wee sister had Sugar Sugar! I still think it’s great. I was introduced to Tapestry by the big sister of a school friend but didn’t buy it till much later. The first album I bought myself was Bridge Over Troubled Water and when we first got a CD player my first purchase was Graceland. Less of a Paul Simon fan these days – we’ve seen him twice. Great the first time, boring the second. He didn’t engage with the audience at all. Maybe he was just having an off day.
I went to a Cher concert once and she was sick and you could tell. She still gave a great show! I’m sure they all have their off days. It’s fun being able to go on sites like youtube and listen to the songs of our day.
