I was never really into genealogy that much. Sure, learning about my ancestors was always fun. But to actually do the research, that is so time consuming.

My brother, on the other hand, loved it and found out quite a bit about our family heritage. That was years ago though and he hasn’t really been doing it much these days. So his research doesn’t go too much passed our great-grandparents.

I have done DNA testing for 23andme and Ancestry. I have matches that go back five generations. I don’t know them or how they are related, but that is as far back as it goes.
