I was diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea many years ago. Unfortunately, so far, I haven’t been able to use a CPAP machine and other options are out of the question. I am still under the care of a sleep specialist and hopefully soon, this medical condition will be under control.
There are, I think, three stages of non REM (Rapid Eye Movement) and one REM stage. This cycle repeats a few times while you sleep. REM is an important stage and when most of the dreaming occurs.
Because my sleep apnea is untreated, I don’t usually go into REM sleep. So, I don’t remember the last time I had a dream.
Untreated sleep apnea can cause many health issues. I attribute some of my heath issues to this one condition.
I’ll be seeing, yet another sleep specialist, in a few weeks. Hopefully we can get this disorder under control soon.
I hope you find a fitting solution for yours, Cheryl! Don’t give up looking.
Thank you.
