In my opinion, this is one of the best male groups ever! I love every one of their songs. My favorites being, Stone in Love With You, You’ll Never Get To Heaven and Rockin’ Roll Baby.
Listening to them brought me right back to the 70’s. I did spend a little more time than I should have on this blog post, as I kept listening to their songs over and over. You’ve got to love that falsetto of Russell Thompkins, Jr!
The original Stylistics came together from two different singing groups, in the same Pennsylvania high school, the Percussions and the Monarchs. They formed the Stylistics in 1968.
The original members were Russell Thompkins Jr, Airrion Love, James Smith, Herbert Murrell and James Dunn. Over the years there were group member changes.
The Stylistics has several hit records during the 1970s, such as You Make Me Feel Brand New, Betcha By Golly Wow and Break Up To Make Up.
Throughout their career, this popular group received 2 Grammy awards. They were also inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame and the Philadelphia Music Alliance’s Walk of Fame.
As of this blog post, they continue to tour and record.

Totally agree with every word you say.
Oh yes, the Stylistics were and are talented!
Chill. Thank you! Nice way to end a Monday
You just can’t beat Philly Soul from the ’70’s, and they’re a big reason why.
