I have yet to see any good sunsets where I live, and I have lived here for over 20 years.
I may have been spoiled though, as I used to live near Newport, RI in a town called Middletown. You could see the Atlantic Ocean from the patio. Watching the sun go down was an extremely peaceful and incredibly beautiful way to end the day.
But the most breathtaking sunset I ever saw was going over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on my way to Virginia. If I wasn’t driving I would have snapped a few pictures. How I wish I could have. The colors were magnificent. Bursts of yellow and orange with the brightest pink background. I will never forget such a glorious work of art.
Because you didn’t have a camera and had to look at the Virginia sunset first hand (knowing you couldn’t take a picture), I bet you remember it better.
Avalon and Stone Harbor, two New Jersey shore towns. The sun sets over the bay that separates the barrier island these towns are on from the mainland.
Thanks for visiting my blog. Hope you’re having a nice day 🙂
