A to Z Challenge Theme Reveal ~ 2015

atoz-theme-reveal-2015

I’m back!! I had such a great time participating in the Blogging From A to Z April Challenge last year that I just had to do it again.

This year I decided to signed up both my blogs, Plucking Of My Heartstrings and Birthday Twin Central, which should make it quite a challenge..lol

As for this years theme……drum roll please……charities.

I thought it would be fun to chose a charity each day, alphabetically of course, with information such as what the charity is about, where they are located, website, facebook page, and any other information that I may find out.

If you happen to run a charity, volunteer, or know of one and would like me to blog about it please get in touch with me before April 1, 2015 at pluckingofmyheartstrings@gmail.com.

Good luck to all those who participate in the Blogging A to Z April Challenge.

Off to read the Theme Reveal of others….

  1. That sounds like a great idea. This is coming from a blogger who knows nothing about this and found it kind of overwhelming, but maybe one year I’ll participate too. I am looking forward to reading your posts and which charities you feature here next month.

    • It can get overwhelming if you are not used to blogging every day. I suffer with a lot of medical problems that often keep me from being able to post. I was proud of myself last year for keeping up and finishing. The great thing about this challenge is that the bloggers don’t think of this as a competition so there isn’t anyone judging you if you miss a day or just can’t finish it. You just do the best you can and if nothing else you will find yourself surround by some wonderful bloggers. I hope you decide to participate one day. If you do, please let me know.

      • Thank you for that offer. It is very nice of you. I have a lot of medical issues also and enjoy blogging, but I am trying not to take on too much at once. I am participating in a few blogging projects already and I don’t think I should take one more on. Hopefully next year.

        • Oh I know all about taking too much on at once! I had to withdraw one of my blogs from the A to Z Challenge because I didn’t think I’d be able to do both. Keep it in mind for next year…Have a great day!

  2. What a great theme!! Can’t wait to discover all the new charities that I’m sure I’m unfamiliar with! Such a giving theme. Way to go!

  3. Thanks for dropping by. This is my first challenge and I am very new to blogging so who knows what is in store for me… but it is new and I like new things. I really look forward to reading about the charities you decide to share. A very worthwhile theme and a great idea. Take care and happy blogging, Cheryl

    • I am still fairly new to blogging myself. There is so much to learn sometimes I feel overwhelmed. You’ll have fun with this challenge, the bloggers are awesome! Looking forward to reading what you will be posting. Take care.

  4. Great idea. There are so many great causes out there. I recently bought a hat through Love Your Melon. You buy a warm stocking cap, and one is donated to a child battling cancer. A great organization. Also, if you’re looking for more, let me know. We have the Mid Minnesota Women’s Center here, a place that helps women who are victims of domestic violence.
Your posts will be most informative!

    • Hi Mary. I’ll have to check out Love Your Melon and Mid Minnesota Women’s Center. This weekend I will start working on my list. Thanks for the information….

  5. What a great theme!!! I loved doing the challenge last year and can’t wait to challenge myself further this year. I met so many great writers (including yourself!), which was one of the best things to come out of the process.

I look forward to reading your posts next month!! Good luck! 🙂

    • The bloggers that participate in the A to Z Challenge are the best! I am glad that I participated last year and got to meet some very talented writers (such as yourself). Can’t wait to read what you will be writing. Good luck also!

    • I see this will be your first A to Z Challenge..Welcome! You will have fun and will meet many great bloggers. I am looking forward to learning some things from your posts…It’s almost time. Are you ready?

      • Thanks! I am getting excited to start posting seeing I have been working on the posts for so long. But yet I still don’t think I am ready! I will need to keep writing every free moment I get!

  6. Good luck this year!! I did it last year, but barely got any traffic, so I decided not to do it this year. I’ve just got too much on my plate. I love your theme! I think it’s a great idea to bring attention to charities that people might not know about. I can’t wait to see your posts!

    • Sorry to hear you won’t be participating this year. Thank you for taking the time to read my posts. Sure hope things calm down a bit for you soon so you can put that plate in the dishwasher…lol Take care!

  7. What a great idea! I look forward to hearing more, and what an awesome way to feature people who are doing amazing work helping to make the world a better place. Good luck and we’ll see more of you in April!

  8. Awesome idea. If you don’t have one for F you could Feeding America. 🙂 or for U you could do the involuntary charity that we in the States must contribute to Uncle Sam. Great topic, looking forward to the posts. This is my first year to participate in the fracas known as A-to-Z

    • Hi Shawn. I think your theme is awesome too! Can’t wait to read what you post. I will check out Feeding America. Since U might be a hard one I just might use your idea of Uncle Sam, we shall see…This is my second year participating. You will have fun and meet some really great bloggers.

  9. That’s a good theme, Cheryl, and I shall be interested to learn something of some US-based charities beyond the well-known international ones that we hear about regularly. I could offer a couple of UK-based charities that are close to my heart, but they probably wouldn’t fit in with what you are doing.

  10. Good luck with the A-Z! This is going to be my first year, so I’m going to be stumbling along. I look forward to checking out your posts. I run my second blog on WP also, and it focuses more on my life since my brain hemorrhage/stroke.

I think what you’re doing is amazing. Have a great night! Eva

    • This is my second year. I remember last year I was so nervous. Please send me the link to your second blog as it sounds like something I’d like to read. Take care…

  11. That’s a great theme. I have yet to try a theme-maybe next year. Will be great learning process for those of us who don’t know much about many charities. I’ll be reading. Good luck.
