About Me
I came into this world on a summer morning on July 22, 1957.
Newborn babies usually do not cry real tears at birth because their tear ducts have not formed yet. But I cried real tears!
I have been through many things in my life and have dealt with a multitude of situations and emotions.
I have been married and divorced twice.
I am an ex-navy wife.
I am a mom, a Grammie of 10 (so far), a sister, an aunt, and a friend of longevity.
I have a son and a son-in-law in the US Navy and am very proud of their job decision and their accomplishments.
My job as a mother is FOREVER. It will not stop when a child of mine reaches the age of 18!
I have always been well liked, but not liked by all.
I can stretch a dollar like it’s a rubber band.
I like the person I am.
I graduated from a writing school.
I am in the process of writing a book.
I graduated from University of Phoenix at the age of 56 with an associate’s degree in Art (and a 3.2 GPA)
I am disabled, having a multitude of health issues.
I had a corneal transplant and since then have become an advocate for organ and tissue donation.
One of my hobbies is finding those who share the exact birthday as me – July 22, 1957.
There is much more ABOUT ME but I guess you will have to follow my blog if you’d like to find these things out : )

You’re welcome!! I’ve been trying to find your link and blog for some time now because so lost the link! I’ll attach it to my original post.
Thanks for checking out my blog. I’m glad you’ve found something helpful or encouraging there. I can relate to so many heartaches in life! I’ll bet you are a resilient woman of courage! And can I say as a coffee lover (though I can’t drink much) and a guitar player, I love your header photo! I wish you all the best!
With what life has thrown at me I do see myself as a resilient woman. Glad that you like my header. Not sure how long I am going to keep it though, I’m thinking of changing the blog up a bit. Take care.
It’s awesome that I get to know more about you. This brief write-up about yourself is great, I admire your courage to be resilient. You are a rare gem, you are a great woman with amazing personality. Keep up the good works and stay blessed.
Thank you Ajibola for your kinds words. You are such an uplifting person and I am so glad that I came across your amazing blog. Take care and stayed blessed!

Enjoy your day as well!
You have a lovely blog, Cheryl. Thank you for visiting mine. x
I enjoy visiting your blog. Your pictures in your post, “My Home In The West of Ireland” were beautiful. I wanted to comment but it said comment section was closed. So I thought I’d let you know here.
Most of the photos in that post are by my husband, he loves taking pics and is way better at it than me. He has all the equipment and despairs of me for only using my phone when I’m away. 😀
My recent posts about France are more for me than for anyone else. I wanted somewhere to keep everything, somewhere I could see and look at whenever I felt the need. These days we rarely print off photos or put them in an album to look at, they just stay locked away on a computer or phone which is a shame.
Again, thank you for the likes, Cheryl and it’s lovely to chat with you. Adele x
One of the reasons I like blog posts so much is being able to view pictures of places that are far away from me. The photos make me feel as if I’ve visited there. My sister has taken some really awesome photos with her phone. Take care, Adele.
What a fantastic introduction! I am really gratified that our paths have crossed, and I look forward to discovering more of what you have to share….thank you 🙂

Hello Cheryl, thank you for showing an interest in my blog. Your blog is quite interesting and I really look forward to your posts! :-). Oh, on the birthday thing. My birthday is December 18, 1948, BUT my older sister is TA DA July 22, unfortunately a few years older than yourself…1945. Oh, well, half-way there!
I enjoy your blog. Happy Belated Birthday! My daughter has six kids, three were born in December. As you can imagine December is a very expensive month for her.
We December kids are usually enjoy a chatty, social world so sounds like your daughter definitely has her hands full. Full of happiness, that is! 🙂
thank you so much for dropping by my blog and liking my post! looks like you’ve had quite the litany of challenges. i like your header and am looking forward to seeing more of your posts.
Thank you for taking the time to read my About Me page. We all have had our challenges. I am glad that I came across your blog. I will be stopping by now and then. Take care.
Thanks for checking out my “About Me” page. I hopped over and did the same. We are fascinating creatures, aren’t we all? And as writers, we share our own fascinating selves in hopes that others relate. I certainly felt akin to you as I read about you here. Happy blogging!
Thanks for liking the post in which I shared Anne R Allen’s debunking of some common ‘rules’ for writers. Good luck with your own writing through 2018 and beyond.
I like reading posts where I can learn more about writing. So thank you for sharing that post! Good luck to you as well.
Thanks for the follow!
Blessings~
