My birthname and the one I use now are the same, Cheryl Ann Wright.
My mom told me that naming me was a toss up between Cheryl Ann or Leah. She heard the name Cheryl Ann when she ran into someone with a baby and asked the mother what her baby’s name was. She told me she loved that name ever since. The name Leah she heard from a song by Roy Orbison (song below).
I’m thankful she chose Cheryl.
The name Cheryl comes from the French word, “Cherie” which means dear one.
Famous people with the name Cheryl: Cheryl Ladd, Cheryl Tiegs, Cheryl Burke
