Overseas Military Coupon Program ~ December 2017

In July of 2015 I decided to stop throwing away my expired coupons and send them overseas to a military base so that they could be distributed in the commissary there. In overseas military commissaries expired coupons are good six months beyond their expiration date.

I created a page, Overseas Military Coupon Program, explained everything and asked my readers to please consider sending their expired coupons to me so I could cut, sort, bag and mail them off to Plucking Of My Heartstrings’ adopted military base in Yokosuka, Japan.

In 2015 Plucking Of My Heartstrings sent $8,004.95 worth of expired coupons to Yokosuka, Japan.  In 2016 the total was $10,886.20.

As for 2017….
January – $$7,421.65
May – $5,447.10
June – $5,425.15

Expired coupons were sent out in September, October, and December.  I had taken a hiatus from blogging but did send out the coupons.

September – $14,235.50
October – $6,421.00
December – $12,042.00

So what was the total of coupons sent in 2017?  $50,992.40!!  How awesome is that!!  THANK YOU SO MUCH to all who donated.

Till next year….

Don’t have any coupons to send but would like to help? Please consider making a small donation. Donations will be used for the cost of mailing coupons overseas. Thank you.
